National ATV Jamboree 2009 and Other Surprises

The 22nd National ATV Jamboree has come and gone. I made up the name tags, itinerary and other signs in the building.

Since we started the 4 day 10 hour work week, I didn't get to spend much time at the POD like I've done in the past. Not near enough time to catch up with friends and learn about the new ones. Maybe they'll come back next year- I hope.

The last day of the event one participant arrived at the POD after being in the canyon overnight and someone noticed his front right wheel had a snake in it. On further examination they found it was a rattlesnake!

Yep, grab the camera and get out there! He wasn't too thrilled and buzzed a couple of times. He was quite the object of attention. The guy didn't want to kill it (a bunch of us wanted to) so he took it out of town and let it get out on it's own.

I love snakes, but these babies give me the heebie jeebies. A good rattlesnake is a dead one!
