M/D weekend --Thriller 2009 Tuacahn

So, another Mother/Daughter weekend down. Two years until it is my turn to pick the activity...I wonder what it's gonna be? This year it was Andrea's turn. We went to Thriller at Tuacahn in St. George. The Odyssey Dance Theater is the best and now that I have seen it once, I am
going every year they have it. I am going to get Eric a ticket next year!

The promo is from 2008, I think. My favorite skit/sketch is reminiscent of Stomp. "Jason Jam" involves three 'Jasons' who do physical comedy and use several different props. One Jason just doesn't get what he's supposed to be doing and goes off in his own little world much to the dismay of the other two. One prop for him is his teddy bear. I about died when he finds it, plays with it and loves on it while the other 2 Jasons are getting annoyed with him. He remembers he has something for the bear and puts a hockey mask on the bear. I had to have one after the show. Matt Dorme was the dorky Jason. Since I didn't watch the 2008 Fox tv show "So You Think You Can Dance", I have no idea who he is, but apparently Matt Dorme and Thayne Jasperson were in the top 20 on the show. They signed the shirt. So, Jason Bear now is the mascot of the office I occupy. (I refuse to say it is my office...there's a history tied to that office that I don't want to become casualty of- HA)

You have to go see the show and go to St. George. Their outdoor stage allows for cool surprises like a real camel cruising in the background in the mummy dance and a black horse for the headless horseman. The other venues don't get those, I learned. Great show. I loved it.

We went to the show and then stayed overnight in a condo. Junk food and hot tub was high on the list. Look at the cute witch's brooms my creative sister made.
Then the next morning we went bowling at Dixie Lanes. I am not a good bowler. We laughed at mom for bowling like Fred Flintstone, but she beat all of us. After shopping a while we went home exhausted. Good weekend! Thanks, guys!

Happy Fall!

I am making applesauce this weekend. We actually had apples big enough to eat. And to think I wanted that tree ripped out in April. Maybe I will let it stay. :)

Fall is the BEST time of year!

Today was overcast and not the best for photo taking. I had to get out to get pix of leaves before they were gone or I wasn't in the mood.

The very best ones, I am afraid are a Tushar and are likely gone. I will ALWAYS kick my self for missing that. Hopefully the beavers up will leave two particular trees alone :)

I will be posting the others to my Flickr account when I get motivated. So, check back.
